Buckboru stopped like she was shot by a sniper at Uttoxeter yesterday, the horse was up with the pace and trading as favourite on the exchanges but came off the bridle very quickly and was pulled up. Something must have been amiss as all Buckboru does is stay and gallop, she has a bit to prove now.

The Ladbroke hurdle is the feature race of the day, Activial trained by Harry Fry has come in for significant support all week and looks to have been laid out for this race, the fancy double figure prices have long gone so I’m not getting involved at the current odds although the horse looks to have big chance in a very competitive race.

I’m Struggling to find anything to support, the 2:25 at Ascot Long Walk Hurdle looks between Zarkandar & Medinas, a profit can be made by backing both but it’s a double hit if the race throws up a surprise result.

With so much good racing between now and the New Year I’m keeping my powder dry.
