We have two runners today at opposite ends of the country.

First up is Stung For Cash in the 12:50 at Ayr. Stung For Cash ran well on his debut for us in a bumper at Uttoxeter. We ran into what could be something very special in King Roland, our horse finished nicely clear of the 3rd.

It’s hurdles debut today in what looks a competitive race. I dare say the top five in the betting will win plenty of races between them down the line. Off The Hook holds Listed form, Sam’s Adventure would have won last time out if not for crashing through the rail at the last. Glinger Flame was just beaten over C&D last time out, and 7 lengths clear of the third.

All the above have hurdles experience, this counts for a lot. Our horse is very much one for the future, he’s a 3-mile heavy ground chaser in the making.

Next up is Broughtons Admiral in the 1:10 at Exeter.

Broughtons Admiral didn’t get home at Ludlow over 2m5, he also carried top weight and got bogged down on the soft going. We drop back in trip today and this should help. BA might just need a bit more help from the handicapper, it can be a tough, second after a successful juvenile campaign. Running against stronger fully-grown horses with no weight allowance. Broughtons Admiral seems in good form and should run his race.
