The Giant Bolster looks a little over priced this afternoon at 20-1 in the Sodexo Silver Cup, 3:00 Ascot.

The horse ran really well for a long way in the Hennessy whilst has been given a chance by the handicapper if finding his best form again.

Ascot will take plenty of getting but The Giant Bolster won’t have any problems over two miles seven and it’s likely Tom Scudamore will jump out in front and make this a proper test. If The Giant Bolster gets into a good rhythm he might just take a bit of passing. At the price of 20-1 he looks worth a few quid EW and should trade shorter in running.

The trip might be on the sharp for Noble Silk in the 1:10 at Lingfield but the horse is running off a very good mark. It’s quite possible Noble Silk will be outpaced from the off and not get involved but this race is a big drop in class and I can’t let him go un-backed at 10-1. If Oisin Murphy is able to keep Noble Silk in touch nothing will come home stronger.

At smaller odds "11-4" Mala Beach should go well if staying on his feet in the 1:15 at Ascot, his proven stamina might win him the race.
