A good day of racing with plenty of smart horses running. The feature meeting is at Ayr where the Gold & Silver Cup is run. Newmarket and Newbury also hold strong fixtures whilst the jumpers go at Newton Abbot. Wolverhampton can’t be forgotten on the AW this evening.
With so much racing on, it’s tough to get through all the fixtures, I’ve only had chance to have a quick look at Ayr.
Addeybb is the short priced favourite for the Doonside Cup at 1:55 and rightly so. Addeybb has to carry a 7lb penalty, this race is also not his big aim, that will be the Champion Stakes so it’s possible he might improve for this.
At the prices, Fox Chairman looks worth taking Addeybb on with. It’s only a matter of time until he gets his head in front after solid efforts in Group races of late. Odds of 9-4 looks ok.
In the Silver Cup at 2:30, it’s possible King’s Lynn is a Listed horse running in a handicap. He’s a short enough price for such a race but could be better than this class. 4-1 with five places on offer, King’s Lynn could be backed EW.
