Queen Kindly caused a minor upset when taking the Lowther Stakes. A Frankel filly was expected to win the race, mainly Fair Eva, however Queen Kindly is also by Frankel.

The Richard Fahey trained filly is bred to be a sprinter unlike the beaten odds on favourite Fair Eva who finished 3rd. She ran like she needed further. I wouldn’t lose faith in her for the 1000gns, Fair Eva didn’t have the gears on a flat track over six furlongs, she'll bounce back when seen over further.

Victor Leudorum 7-4 into 11-10 kept the decent run going this week when winning nicely at Stratford last night.

Plenty of rain is forecast today, the ground could change at York so do watch your bets and maybe place them later on once we know how much rain has fallen.

The Nunthorpe is the feature on day 3 of the Ebor meeting. I don’t have any real thoughts on the race as you can make a case for just about every runner. I’ve had my normal token bet on Danzeno EW at 50-1 but that will be it.

I’m just learning towards Pallasator in the 2:30, The Lonsdale Cup. Trip To Paris has done me a few favours in the past and I hope he runs well but the horse needs to confirm all is well after injury. Clever Cookie I’m not quite sure is good enough so I’ll chance Pallasator to land a big one.

He’s a quirky individual and a huge stamp of a horse, his second at Glorious Goodwood is the best recent form on offer so that will do for me. 4-1 looks ok and you could play EW, just two places on offer.
