We are Worcester bound this afternoon with Gran Maestro who runs in the 4:50, the feature race on the card. Sam Twiston Davies rides.

Until this week the wet weather has missed Dr Newland’s stables so we haven’t been able to start Gran Maestro’s schooling over a fence. The wet stuff has now arrived though so this will be Granny’s last race over hurdles for a while.

The handicapper has Granny spot on and he doesn’t have anything in hand on his current rating. However if everything goes ok during the race, I’m sure Gran Maestro will run to his mark and put in his normal game solid effort.

Hopefully he can run well before starting on his chasing career.
