Hopefully it’s the calm after the storm this afternoon after a very windy 24 hours thanks to Eunice. Surprisingly, all of today’s meetings get the go ahead and any damage has been repaired this morning.
Good racing but conditions will be very hard work and some surprise results could be seen. Perhaps not a day for going crazy.
I’ve had three bets mainly for a bit of interest through the afternoon.
3:00 Ascot – Cap Du Mathan EW
3:20 Wincanton - Adagio
3:38 Ascot – Saint Calvados
Cap Du Mathan was very impressive on his comeback run after a lengthy absence. The Nicholls horses are back in form, but it's possible Cap Du Mathan might suffer from the old bounce factor. He’s priced accordingly though.
Adagio I’ll take to beat Goshen. I think he’s the value EW bet for the Champion Hurdle. Currently priced at 20-1.
The drop back in trip is what Saint Calvados has been wanting, it won’t be easy to beat Fakir D’oudairies but he can certainly run him close.
Details of our Cheltenham preview night will go on social medial this evening plus we have a new horse with shares available so watch out for that or get in touch for details.
