It’s been a quite week so far with little happening but the Ayr Gold Cup meeting starts today. I’ve had a look through the card but struggling to find a selection, the majority off races look tough so a watching brief only for me.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the Scottish referendum and how the country votes on becoming an independent nation.

If they decide to go alone and leave the UK will we need our passports to visit the Scottish racetracks and how will it affect racing North of the border?
