Sampers Seven was an impressive winner for her owners last night at Chelmsford. We were very hopeful of a big run from Sampers and she didn’t disappoint. A three-length winner, going away at the finish.
Sampers Seven is a big strong filly and only a 3yo. She’s very quick and won’t peak for a few years when Sampers fills her big frame. We think she could be quite smart in a time.
Loads of rain today which makes things a bit of an unknown for punting at Ascot. The going is now soft. There could be a big draw bias, but we won’t know until racing starts.
The below horses have form on softer ground and are decent odds.
1:15 Ascot – Highland Chief EW.
1:50 Ascot – Fox Tal EW
3:35 Ascot - Moonlight Spirit EW
4:40 Ascot – Waliyak EW & African Dream.
We have another runner today, this time at Newmarket. Vocatus makes his debut for us in the 2:05.
The ground is also soft at Newmarket which has resulted in plenty of none-runners. Vocatus requires further and should actually be a smart hurdler in time. He'll act on the ground but will improve a nice amount for this outing.
