The racing goes crazy again from today onwards, it was more run of the mill stuff midweek with little decent action but once more you don't know where to start come Friday / Saturday.
I've said it a few times before and don't mind saying it again, the fixture planning just doesn't make any sense, at least one of the Saturday meetings should take place midweek. It's not just the amount if racing that's the problem it's the fact that jockeys & trainers can't be at two meetings at the same time, this is when races are won and lost.
The better races can't also be given the build up they require as the action from other meetings will come to an end just minutes before another race is off. A lack of preview and recap just makes everything feel rushed.
Anyhow,
Tasleet "priced at 7-4" in the 3:40 at Newbury should go well, jocky Paul Hanagan spoke nicely about the horse last time whilst he won in the style that suggested more was to come.
Memorial Day "11-10" is a bit skinny for me but the second place behind Rifle Range has worked out well. Rifle Range went in again at Ascot last week so the form looks sound.
