I thought Western Ryder win at Cheltenham yesterday could be marked up despite him winning.

The race couldn’t have worked out worse for Western Ryder, the front runners went a crawl. He’s the type of horse that needs a flat-out gallop from the word go. Western Ryder can travel sweetly off the back of a sound pace whilst quickens and stays strongly. He’ll be much better over 2m4f. Put this horse in your tracker and stick with him. I think he’s smart and can win a big pot sooner rather than later.

Small fields again at Cheltenham today. I’m not sure way the numbers are low? Maybe there’s just aren’t enough horse to go around and run at all the meetings.

The 1:40 at Doncaster is a decent little race, Flying Tiger will go well dropping down in class but carries a lot of weight. Looking down the list and trying to find a bit of value, I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Percy Street yet.

Percy Street was a quality flat horse that reached a peak of 98, he should be much better than a 120-rated hurdler. I think the penny is slowly dropping with Percy Street whilst his effort last time out was better than the form figures suggest. Percy Street was chasing the winner but lost ground when carried left by a loose horse. I don’t think he would have won but a few lengths were certainly lost.

Carrying just 10-6 this afternoon and getting a good chunk of weight from his rivals, Percy Street looks a little over priced at 13-2. I think he's worth a few pounds EW.

Conditions look ideal for Rayvin Black at Hereford in the 2:40.

The seasonal run looked needed a few weeks ago. Rayvin Black bid to make all as he always does but got tired from two out. He should be much sharper today. Back on a right handed track, cheekpieces on plus the heavy ground he handles so well, Rayvin Black could get an easy lead and take some catching. Races off 135 today, won off 149 in the past. Stamp Your Feet looks the danger but odds of 5-2 look fair on Rayvin Black.

At Cheltenham, i'm looking forward to watching Apple's Shakira again. She can't be backed at such tight odds but this mare looks the real deal.
