We have two runners this afternoon, Newt makes her hurdles debut in the 2:00 at Newton Abbot, then at Bangor-On-Dee, Aldrin runs in the 5:50.

We purchased Newt last month at the July sales, she looked the type that could make a nice Juvenile hurdler. She’s only 3 and will be a horse for the future for her owners. Newt has jumped well at home but you never know what will happen in this type of race.

Providing Newt doesn’t run green, she’ll hopefully show some promise and giving us something to build on.

Aldrin’s second start over hurdles has taken a little longer than planned, he struck into himself at home and needed a couple of quite weeks for the cut to heal.

Aldrin was green on hurdles debut, he’s still inexperienced and only ran four times in total before today. Aldrin will be a better horse next year once he grows into his big frame. He’s got an engine though and todays outing won’t be lost on him.
