Just a short post this afternoon as nothing really takes the eye.

The racing on Saturday is mainly tough handicaps that are being run on soft ground, it’s a recipe for losing money. With the York Ebor meeting on the horizon and a few horses that I definitely want to support next week I’m keeping my powder dry today.

If you want a bet for a bit of interest the below should go ok:

4:15 Doncaster – Dont Bother Me, ran a cracker last time at Ascot, 2nd beaten a length behind Heavy Metal. The form has worked out very well and today’s race isn’t anything like as competitive, a repeat effort should see the horse go close.

The main race of the day is the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon 3:30, a highly competitive event that will require plenty of luck in running. My lucky pin has fallen on Tatlisu EW priced at 10-1. Trained by Richard Fahey the horse has a decent profile and looks to have good chance as any.
