Our horse Gran Maestro lost all chance at Aintree on Friday night when he made a horlicks of the 4th hurdle, he was lucky not to come down and from then on it was race over. These things happen, if you don’t jump you can’t win.

We have another runner this evening at Leicester in the 6:40, Mountain Rescue.

Mountain Rescue made a pleasing debut for us at Bath three weeks ago when finishing 3rd beaten under two lengths. We’re hoping Leicester will suit more than Bath whilst it’s handy William Buick can do the steering once ride again.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a great draw in stall 12, this will make life awkward as we could end up wide from the break. With some luck in running though, Mountain Rescue should run another good race.
