Good racing today with plenty of decent horses running, I’ve had a look through the cards and although were not short of choice I’m keeping my powder dry as nothing really stands out for a betting opportunity.

A couple of decent winners have been highlighted this week and Virgilio added to that at Aintree last night, the horse was chucked in and duly dotted up, plenty of 13-8 was around in the day so I hope you had a few quid on.

On the “Our Horses” page of the website you might have noticed we were going to the Doncaster sales next week in a bid to secure another horse, however after going through the catalogue in detail for the past few weeks and making plenty of calls nothing really stands out for us.

I’m keen any new horse purchased has the potential on paper to develop into something above average for his owners and keep pushing Value Racing Club forward.

This week we've secured a very smart flat horse that will go hurdling, I’ve had my eye on this lad for quite some time and were delighted a private deal has gone ahead in the past 24 hours.

The horse in question ticks every box and has a very similar profile to Ebony Express. More news next week on our new recruit.
