It’s the first day of the Cheltenham International meeting this afternoon. Small fields but competitive racing as you would expect.
Not a huge amount stands out but I’ve had a couple of token bets.
I was impressed with Western Ryder when he won last time out, the race looked a decent contest with some promising horses in behind. Western Ryder should be suited by a fast pace and looks a strong stayer. Todays going will be sticky and take some getting. Conditions and how the race should be run will suit. The 5-2 on offer looks fair.
In other races, I would be against Sizing Tennessee in the 12:45. His jumping is suspect whilst has a poor record around Cheltenham. You could back both Dual At Dawn & Tintern Theatre, if one wins a profit would be made. I'd have the majority of the stake on Dual At Dawn. Then watch Sizing Tennessee bolt up !
