Mountain Rescue ran another big race of his owners on Saturday at Newmarket, finishing 3rd beaten three lengths. For the third race running we had the worst of the draw, the ground next to the rail was a fair bit quicker on Saturday. Mountain Rescue gave his all as he always does and did well to be placed, he picked up a further 2k for his efforts. We’ll have one more run then aim to finish the season running in the Cambridgeshire.

The jumps racing starts back up today, we have two runners this evening at Worcester. Settimo Milanese makes his debut for us then Cotton Club in the final race on the card.

We purchased Settimo Milanese from Ireland, he showed fair form in maiden hurdles. His final run sees a pulled up next to his name but that can be ignored. Settimo Milanese was all but brought down four out when going well.

This race is a nice starting point with just the six runners. Desirable Court will be very hard to beat, she’s rated 132 and is a smart mare. We’ll learn plenty about Settimo this evening, he’ll improve for the outing.

Cotton Club keeps bumping into a nice horse and has been unlucky not to win a race so far. Massini’s Dream & Heydour look the two dangers, Heydour could have gone under the radar.
