Leoncavallo was a very impressive winner on debut for us at Ludlow on Sunday. Leon won easily in a competitive race, he also broke the track record in the process. Leoncavallo was 5th in the Triumph hurdle a few years ago but lost his way a little. We were confident we could turn this horse around and get him back to his best with the way we do things.

Leoncavallo looked a 145 rated hurdler on this performance, that was the rating he achieved a few years ago. He’s a class act. We’ll likely head to the £250,000 Galway Hurdle then go chasing. I can’t wait to get this horse over a fence, if he takes to the job, it will be hugely exciting.

This evening we head to Southwell with Ilovemints who runs in the 8:00. For the first time since buying Ilovemints, we get to run her on a decent surface. The better going should help, and she seems in decent form. The trip would be a question mark.

Gi Jayne has been backed from 16-1 into 100-30 for Dan Skelton whilst Visage Blanc has also been well supported. She was a good flat horse, peaked at 76 and should be much better than a 92 rated hurdler.

It will be a nice warm evening, so we’ll see how we get on. Pimms on the lawn could be quite tempting!

Two shares are left in our new horse Adams Park. He’ll go down the juvenile hurdle route and run through the Summer months. Please get in touch if you would like any further information.
