Warwick & Newcastle have both been abandoned today. Thankfully, the snow has melted away and the International meeting starting at Cheltenham tomorrow shouldn’t have any problems going ahead.

We had a runner at Southwell midweek where Newt didn’t take kindly to the kickback. The track was riding very deep and the kickback was bad as ever. Newt didn’t fancy it and came back covered in sand. She’ll have her holidays now and go jumping next year.

The Peterborough Chase that was lost on Sunday “Huntingdon” is ran today at Taunton. It’s a shame just four horses take their chance in a £50,000 race. Barring any mishaps, Top Notch should win with little fuss. His odds of 4/11 reflect his chance.
