We were very pleased with Competition’s effort yesterday at Yarmouth. Beaten a nose in a photo finish whilst carried across the racecourse by the eventual winner.

If we should have won, in the steward’s room I have no idea. That’s no concern for us and we won’t be losing sleep over it. We were just pleased with the performance from Competition.

We have another runner this evening at Uttoxeter. Cotton Club makes his debut for us and hurdles debut at the same time.

His prep has gone well but we run against experienced horses that have already shown a good level of form. Cotton Club will also likely be a bit green. We’re just hoping for a fair start that gives us something to build on.
