There isn’t much to report on this end until racing starts again hopefully on 1st June. It will be flat racing only to start with, national hunt is set for July 1^st.

We gave our summer jumps horses a mini break and a month off, it seemed pointless going up and down the gallops when we could still have them ready for July. I worked out it saved the horses working approx 100 miles by having a mini break.

Our flat team have continued working at Mick Appleby’s. Mick did back off the horses for a few weeks though. In this time, all horses at the yard were kept to steady work and some skipped a day but went on the walker instead.

In a bid to keep owners updated rather than just doing the normal emails, we've done some zoom webcam meetings with our trainers. Owners have been able to ask questions and speak with the trainer direct over the internet. This has worked well and been good fun.
