It’s Grand National day, one of the most thrilling races ran anywhere. Let’s hope for a great race and all horses come home safe and sound. Bedrock rewarded EW support for us yesterday when 3^rd at 50-1. He was like backing a 12-1 winner, two out I thought Bedrock was going to win. Min was just outstayed by Politologue in a ding dong finish. The result wasn’t surprising as Min was always wanting to go a stride quicker. He’s best over two miles.

It’s going to be a great day for the owners of Broughtons Admiral who runs at Aintree today in the 6:20. Being at Aintree on National day with a runner you own will be a super day out. Broughtons Admiral has already run at Cheltenham this year finishing in the places, won at Hereford and now we head to Aintree. BA has been a great purchase costing just £18,000, his share price was just over £1500 per share, fantastic value.

Charlie Hammond “our sponsored jockey” rides Broughtons Admiral for us. He’ll love the testing ground and stay. BA has had a busy season, he was running on the flat before we bought him. It will be holidays after today. If our horse has one last effort in him he won’t be disgraced and will give Charlie a good spin round.

We also have Ilovemints running at Chepstow in the 3:30. This is he first run after a wind op and we’re sure she’ll need the outing. Ilovemints wants better ground and has her own way of going about things. She has a big engine, but the penny needs to drop with her over hurdles.

In the Grand National, I backed Regal Encore, but he's been withdrawn overnight. Raz De Maree will love the testing ground, he'll be still going when others have cried enough. Anibale Fly looks sure to run well.
