Top class flat racing takes place at Lingfield this afternoon, all-weather champions day with cracking prize money on offer.

Newcastle on the aw and Bath also hold flat meetings with good money on offer. Why we have these 3 fixtures all on the same day I have no idea. It’s bad race planning by the powers that be.

Starting at Bath in the 4:00. Muthmir will take plenty of beating if fit and ready to go. Backing him at odds of 6-5 could be risky though as the horse normally needs he’s first start of the season, not easy to get fit apparently. Muthmir is 0-4 on seasonal reappearance but is class horse in the race. If anybody knows if Muthmir is fit please let me know!

William Haggas could have a big race double with Muthmir & Muffri’Ha.Muffri’Ha runs in the 2:40 at Lingfield.

Muffri’Ha has been running in Dubai of late and finished 3^rd three times in better races than this. The drop back in trip should be ok and he’s the one to beat. The price of 6-4 looks fair.

We’ll find out late on how good Ennaadd trained by Roger Varian is, takes his chance in the 3:40. Un-beaten in 4 starts Ennaadd looks smart, he’ll have to be though to win this without a prep run.

William Haggas 3 timer? Second Thought looks the one to beat in the the six-furlong sprint at 4:10. Jockey, Robert Winston has a knack of dropping his head in front on the line.
