Many Clouds ran out a very game winner of the 2015 Grand National, the horse jumped fantastically well under Leighton Aspell who was winning the race for the second year running. Many Clouds was below par in the Gold Cup when well touted for the race, trainer Oliver Sherwood has done a marvellous job turning him around in such a short space of time.

Possibly the best news from the race is Balthazar King “was my main selection” seemingly on the road to recovery after falling at the canal turn, the horse has broken ribs and took a horrible tumble, thank goodness he seems to be ok.

Royale Knight ran a cracker for Dr Newland to finish 6th and reward EW support if you backed with Bet Victor whilst Alvarado also got the EW money with a 4th place effort.

The jumps season proper is coming to an end now and we say goodbye to AP McCoy in a few weeks time at Sandown, the flat season moves up a gear though with the start of the Newmarket Craven meeting tomorrow.
