Had To Be Hugo runs at Ayr today in the 2:45.

This is Hugo's second start over hurdles, he's showed good ability in a bumper beforehand and on jumping debut when second behind a horse held in fair regard.

Ideally, the trip would be three miles and soft ground but finding a softer surface at the moment isn't going to happen. Ayr is good to soft and safe, hence the journey made for this race.

The stiff finish will suit whilst there looks to be a bit of pace on. Hugo should finish his race off well, the key will be if able to keep within striking distance at the business end.
