A wet and windy Saturday, conditions will be proper hard work and stamina will win the day. We have a runner at Chelmsford in the 5:30, Twistaline, at least we won’t have mud issues there!

Ashtown Lad did us a favour on here when winning the Becher Chase at nice odds. Back over hurdles today off a 9lb lower rating, “3:35 Warwick” it seems connections perhaps want to run in the Pertemps at the Festival.

To do so, Ashtown Lad will need to go up a few pounds and for that reason, will be all out in a bid to win today you would think.

Notachance 3:00 Warwick EW looks to have a chance in the 3m5f Classic Chase slog. He won this race before off a 9lb higher rating, I dare say this have been the plan once again for a while. Lord Du Mesnil would be my other pick for the race again EW. He’ll love the conditions.

It's likely Godolphin will win the 1:10 at Lingfield.

They have the odds-on favourite in Star Guest and Spring Promise making her debut.

Spring Promise is one for the tracker, she's smart and works to a good level. Not impossible can give Star Guest a run for her money if doesn’t run green etc. Spring Promise will be winning soon whatever the result today.
