Average racing so far this week, and not much happening to get the blood pumping.

Otago Trail was a decent winner last weekend as highlighted on here, trained by Venetia Williams Otago Trail made all and ran his rivals into the ground. The horse looks ready for graded company and could pick up a nice prize when the mud is flying. Watch out for him in the next month or so.

The 2:20 at Catterick looks a decent novice this afternoon, the top three in the betting could be above average in time. Always Resolute, Satellite & William Of Orange are all decent ex flat horses with nice profiles for jumps.

William Of Orange might need a bit further but should win races, Satellite was a big money buy at 105,000gns and achieved a rating of 90 on the level. He handles soft ground but winter soft is a little different whilst Always Resolute was impressive on hurdles debut.

This could be a novice hurdle that works out well and throws up a few winners in the months ahead. It's a race worth watching.
