West Of The Edge won for his owners at Carlisle on Sunday under a great ride from Sam Twiston Davies. That’s 2 runs 2 wins since we purchased the horse for just 14k at the Doncaster sales earlier in the year.

The race was competitive and run at a sound good gallop, It will be interesting to see what the handicapper does. We would love to run this horse in something like the Midlands Grand National.

Bishop Of Bling also ran very well to finish 4th in a Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdler. Bishop Of Bling is very much a work in progress horse, he’s still very green but the penny is dropping and he finished the race off strongly. If not for the mistake 2 out he would have been pushing for 3rd place.

The win by West Of The Edge was our 3rd in the past month, it’s very pleasing to see the horses running so well and the new purchasers doing what we hoped they would.

The New One was a nice winner for the blog on Saturday following on from Evening Hush the week before at 7-2.

The morning price of 100-30 on The New One was too big as highlighted, the prices flipped flopped with The New One going off the 13-8 jolly. Connections are now talking about the Champion Hurdle again. I agree with keeping him over hurdles but would love to see The New One given a chance over 3 miles.
