We had a good start with out first runners since racing restarted. Sampers Seven was 2^nd on debut for us and Competition 3^rd. Both horses ran really well at Wolverhampton earlier this week and will give their owners plenty of fun during the summer months on the flat.

We have another runner today, Leoncavallo in the 4:20 at Sandown. This is Leon’s first start on the level since 2016. Leon is better known as a smart hurdler. Leoncavallo is ready for a run and this outing will set him up nicely for the return to national hunt racing next month.

I’ve backed a couple of horses today.

Sunday Sovereign in the 2:40 at Sandown and Solid Stone 3:15 Sandown.

Sunday Sovereign has his first start for Roger Varian, he’s working well i'm told and is very quick. A gelding op has apparently worked wonders for Solid Stone.
