Speedy Boarding did us another nice turn on Thursday at the price of 7-2, as mentioned a few times previously she’s the best filly in the yard and looks a lovely prospect. Speedy Boarding took the raise in class in her stride and ran out a decent winner in the end, the Irish Oaks is apparently now an option.
Loads of racing taking place today that’s typical for a Saturday, 8 meetings in total and that’s about three too many.
We’re off to Leicester with Gran Maestro who runs in the 7:15. It’s a competitive event and the handicapper has our lad about right. Three last time out winners take their chance so this it’s going to take a bit of winning, however with luck in running i'm sure Granny will run his normal consistent race.
Speaking of Leicester, Sirajiah in the first has been showing the right signs at home, trained by William Haggas a decent run is hoped for on racecourse debut, Whatdoiwantthatfor is the obvious danger.
With plenty of rain around I’m holding fire until Royal Ascot.
