My favourite jumps fixture of the season starts today. Aintree know how to put on a show, look after the paying public plus owners so well.

Fabulous racing over the next three days whilst we have a runner on Friday, our first ever Grade 1 which is super exciting. There will be no update tomorrow and maybe Saturday.

On day 1, Zenta in the Juvenile at 2:20 should take a lot of beating.

The form is standout, getting within a few lengths of Lossiemouth at Cheltenham on just her third start was a brilliant effort. A repeat of that, Zenta wins providing the petrol tank is still ok. Priced around 5-4.

Ahoy Senor would be my choice to make all in the Bowl. Not a strong thought but he could be hard to peg back and perhaps fresher than most on a racecourse he loves.

Fier Jaguen in the Foxhunters looks sure to run a fair race.

On Friday, we run Howlingmadmurdock in the Grade 1 Sefton over three miles.

It will be a grand day out for his owners, a huge ask for Murdock but he's earned his place. The ground will be a question mark as will the trip of three miles and that's before the opposition that include last time out Festival winners! This is a very strong race and great to be involved with.

My picks for the National as things stand:

Longhouse Poet
The Big Breakaway
Any Second Now
Fury Road
