A magnificent day for us yesterday, it’s not often you back a horse at 66-1 never mind it winning! Lisnager Oscar looked hugely overpriced in the morning and so it proved with a brilliant win in the Stayers Hurdle.

The selection never looked like been out of the places from the word go and was always moving strongly just behind the leaders. Adam Wedge gave the horse a super ride. Previous form was very strong and gave LS a sound EW chance. He’d just taken a while to find his feet this season, but the signs were there on his previous start.

100-1 was available 10 minutes before the race, the phone never stopped all night and it’s great to hear so many people winning well over £1000 pounds.

The day got off to a super start for us with Samcro winning at odds of 9-2 in the most thrilling race of the week so far. If there was one trainer to bring Samcro back it was Gordan Elliott. This was an outstanding training performance and best of the week.

It’s been a super three days so far, whatever happens today it won’t beat Thursday. I’ll be having fun bets this afternoon then moving to Mauritius.

You’d have to be hopeful of an English winner in the Triumph Hurdle that starts the day. A Wave Of The Sea, could finish strongly and grab a place but I’m not sure he has the pace to win this.

There will be a huge amount of speed in the race with numerous front runners, hopefully there won’t cut each other’s throats. Allmankind & Goshen priced at 5-1 & 9-4 would be my picks.

Allmankind will likely bid to make the running with Goshen keeping an eye on him. These two horses hold the best form in the race I thought.

The County Hurdle at 2:10 is one of the main betting races of the week. It’s very difficult to find the winner. Willie Mullins looks to hold a strong hand with the top three in the betting. Which one is most fancied, your guess is good as mine? Aramon perhaps.

Adjali has always been well thought of. He disappointed on seasonal debut but was heard to make a noise. Adjali has undergone a wind op and not ran since. This suggests connections think Adjali has a bit in hand on his current rating and saved his mark.

12-1 EW with bookies paying six places look ok. I’ve also backed Aramon at 8-1 EW. He holds Grade 1 form.

The Albert Bartlett looks a strong renewal. It’s hard to get away from Latest Exhibition whilst Sempo look to have more to offer. These would be my two for a bit of interest in the race. Both could be backed EW.

The Gold Cup is the feature race of the week. I hold a nice antepost voucher on Lostintranslation. The Colin Tizzard horses have run poor this week whilst the horse comes into the race on the back of a pulled up and wind op. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lostintranslation bounces back but confidence has dipped.

Al Boum Photo and Delta Work I can’t split from a win point of view. I’m hopeful the race is between these two horses. I don’t think Santini jumps well enough and Clan Des Obeaux has stamina to prove.

Delta Work will love the trip and be doing all his best work at the finish, Al Boum Photo is rock solid and a worthy favourite. I’ve backed both horses. Monalee priced at 25-1 looks the best outsider of the field. He’s not without a chance. Make sure you bet with bookies paying 4 places.

In the lucky last, The Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys, apparently J P McManus has backed his own horse, Front View. That would be good enough for me.
