A great card of racing on the second day of the International meeting at Cheltenham. The big race of the day is the Unibet Hurdle at 3:00. It will be fascinating to see how Goshen runs. He of course is the horse that fell at the last in Triumph Hurdle when well clear.

Goshen has run twice on the flat since but hasn’t gone great. He also takes on far more experienced horses this afternoon, he’ll have to be a proper Champion Hurdle horse if he’s to win this. At odds of 7-4, I can't have him, he's got plenty to prove. With the next horse in the betting priced at 5-1, there’s plenty of EW value to be had.

Working out who isn’t easy, so I’ve backed two EW. Sceau Royal and Ch’tibello both priced at 9-1. Each horse will give it’s running and are solid at this level.

A speculative selection in the Caspian Gold Cup at 1:50 is Romain De Senam EW at 20-1. Some bookies are paying six places so shop around.

Romain De Senam is becoming well handicapped, he’s won off a higher rating and ran his best race yet for the current yard last time at Aintree. The step up in trip will suit, and Romain De Senam could outrun his odds off a light weight.
