We had a very enjoyable weekend in Kelso with West Of The Edge who finished 8th in the Borders National. Going into the race, we knew our chances had gone as the ground was far too quick for our horse. West Of The Edge tried very hard but doesn’t have the speed to be competitive on good to soft ground. WOTE needs bottomless conditions. t’s amazing at this time of the year some racecourses still have good ground and chase races are been abandoned!

Trigger Nichol ran well at Huntingdon finishing second. He bumped into a gamble and very well handicapped horse. Trigger Nichol will be a smart 3 mile chaser next season. He's still learning his job but improving all the time.

We head to Lingfield today with Aldrin. Buzz as we call him had a very good season over hurdles. He’s still a maiden on the flat so we’re having one last run before holiday time for Aldrin.

This looks a decent race with plenty of 3yo horses in good form, these get the handy weight allowance. We’ll learn plenty for any future flat outings but hopefully Aldrin can run a nice race.
