Somebody had a great start to Christmas yesterday by winning the record placepot at Cheltenham that paid just over £90,000 to a £1 stake. There were 1.25 winning tickets, one gentleman collected £9,174.45 for a 25 pence line.

Winners were very hard to find on Friday and today could be more of the same. Rain is forecast and conditions will be testing.

I hope Peace And Co makes a successful come back, it would be nice for an UK based runner to hold a chance in next year’s Champion Hurdle. It’s a watching brief for me this afternoon.
