Sikandar confirmed the promise on the racecourse he’d been showing at home yesterday, the horse was expected to go very well on debut but his jumping let him down. Always moving well, Sikandar jumped much better and quickened away well to win nicely. He could be pretty smart and landed a few bets.

We’re off to Taunton today with Rhythm Star who makes her seasonal debut.

Star is a big strong mare and takes a lot of getting fit whilst this race look warm on paper. I’m hoping for a nice effort and to see Rhythm Star jump and travel well, however everything else in the race holds a fitness advantage over us and that could play its part at the business end of the race.

The outing will help blow the cobwebs away before Rhythm Star goes chasing.
