Exciting times at Value Racing Club, we’ve purchased a fantastically well bred 5 year old flat runner to go hurdling this summer and beyond. The horse in question handles all types of ground from firm to heavy whilst must be one of the most consistent flat horses in training.

It’s last five runs read 2,3,3,1,4, In all of those efforts the maximum distance this chestnut gelding was beat was just 4 lengths. The horse looks perfect for hurdles “backed up by its breeding” and will go into training with 2014 Grand National winning trainer Dr Richard Newland.

More info and the name of the horse will be passed on at the weekend. A limited amount of shares will be available at an all in price that covers all costs until the end of the year with nothing else to pay.

If you would like any more info or to register your interest please email me at contact@valueracingclub.co.uk or drop me a line. Our syndicates fill up very quickly, shares will be sold on a first come first served basis.

The World Cup kicks off this evening with Brazil Vs Croatia, the home nation will be keen to put on a show whilst their fussy supporters will accept nothing less. If the game gets to half time 0-0 pressure will build on Brazil and the game could become interesting.

My own fancy for the competition is Argentina, not original I know but confident they'll take some stopping and are the likely winners in my eyes, I’ve backed them accordingly.

At a bigger of 50-1 Chile can be the surprise package, they play some great football with every pass going forward, a real attacking mentality. They have a great chance of getting out of the group likely at the expensive of Holland and hopefully cause a few shocks.

I like the Winner / Golden Boot market and have placed a few bets at big prices, the main one that caught my eye was Argentina / K Benzema at a huge 190-1.

France are in an easy Group and should qualify without breaking sweat, you need 4 or 5 goals to be top scorer, Benzema could easily grab that in the Group games whilst if Argentina do what they should odds will more than half, a great trade bet can be had.

You don’t need much on at that price to pay for a nice holiday, I’ve done most of the main World Cup strikers with Argentina and hope one of them at least provides a nice locked in few quid.
