The ground was just awful at Uttoxeter yesterday, bad as it gets. Machiavell got stuck in the mud but got around and jumped well in the main on his hurdles debut. He'll be one for the Spring.

We have Flash De Clerval running in the first at Leicester. Flash ran fine at Ascot on his debut but got tired late in the race.
Shakem Up'Arry is held in high regard and owned by Harry Redknapp. He's the odds on favourite, it looks a intresting race.
