Greyed A ran another lovely race for his owners on Sunday, finishing 3rd. Greyed A was always in the thick of things but got done for a bit of speed jumping the last. The effort can’t be faulted as the horse tries so hard. Greyed A is an out and out galloper that keeps rolling along without been able to quicken, he’ll be much better over a fence. How he went off at 15-8 shot in a 16-runner race is beyond me, it was an absurd price and should have been nearer 5-1.
News broke yesterday that Kempton Park racecourse is closing and been sold for a housing development. 2,500 houses will be built on the land apparently. I’m speechless and would like to say a lot of things on the subject but won’t as this blog isn’t about, greed, building houses, selling prized assets and the border control crisis that means we need so many more houses.
Today we have a runner at Hereford, Bishop Of Bling runs in the Juvenile hurdle at 1:50.
The entire race revolves around the Tony Martin trained Long Call. The horse makes the journey over from Ireland and Davy Russell also comes over for the ride. If today is the day for Long Call he’ll likely get the job done and we’re all running for 2nd place.
