The sun is still shining, two more winners on Saturday, one football one horse plus England are in the semi finals of a World Cup. Things can’t be bad!

France vs Belgium takes place this evening, this should be a cracking game. I’m just siding with Belgium despite the fact France arguably have the better starting eleven.

If the big-name players of France, Pogba, Kante, Mbappe & Griezmann all turn it on at the same time, France will likely have a bit much for Belgium. However, if a couple of the above are off their game and more interested in been a hero themselves, Belgium can take advantage.

I still think the winner of this game will lift the trophy on Sunday but more than happy to be proved wrong if England make the final!

England have their hardest game of the competition so far tomorrow against Croatia who haven’t looked that impressive. The teams thieve played in the knockout stages, Denmark & Russia, were awkward sides and put ten players behind the ball. England certainly won’t do this.

Croatia will have more time especially in the middle of the park but had two hard games with extra time and penalties. Hopefully we will be the fresher side and can make it through.

I’ve had a few quid on Belgium at 6-5 to qualify and backed over 2.5 goals. The 25-1 bet on a Belgium / Croatia final is still going. If Belgium win, I’ll decide what to do with the bet tomorrow. I can’t possibly cheer on Croatia against England. I laid some of the bet off at the weekend for a profit but still have a nice return left riding. The 16-1 EW bet on Croatia winning the World Cup is still on, I’ll decide on this one tomorrow too.

We have two runners at Uttoxeter this evening. Newt makes her seasonal debut in the 6:00 & Competition returns to hurdles after two good runs on the level in the 7:30. Hopefully both horses run well, on paper they look up against it.
