Leoncavallo was an excellent 4th at Aintree yesterday for his owners. Leon ran another big race in a hot handicap, only the younger unexposed horses could beat him carrying the best part of a stone less. It was a super afternoon in the winner's enclosure at the National meeting.

Grand National Day, I've backed the below horses EW.

Cloth Cap 6-1
Minella Times 9-1
TalkIsCheap 50-1
Alpha Des Obeaux 80-1

Elsewhere on the card, in the 2:25. My Drogo has been impressive. His form has been franked and the step-up in trip looks ideal.

The stayers hurdle at 3:35, Thyme Hill could take some beating with Lisnagar Oscar offering EW value.

Baily Gorse makes his debut for us in the 2:10 at Chepstow.

A cheap buy from Ireland, we'll learn plenty about him later today. Baily Gorse works ok at home but we're not sure on what his trip is. It's possible 2m3f on good ground could be on the sharp side, ran mostly over three miles in Ireland. Touch wood he'll show some promise.
