It’s fair to say we nailed the Grand National, One For Arthur landed a lovely 25-1 antepost bet in fantastic style.

Not only that, Saint Are finished 3rd and Blaklion 4th, 50-1 & 16-1. I did a £10 reverse forecast, One For Arthur & Saint Are, that would have been jackpot but I can’t complain.

Derek Fox gave One For Arthur a grand ride, settled towards the rear of the field on the first circuit and out of trouble, the partnership settled into a lovely rhythm.

Going out on the 2nd circuit horse and jockey started picking off runners one by one and gradually moved into the race. A mile from home I was very confident the race was in the bag. One For Arthur canted into contention, took it up before the last and win with plenty in hand. If the going was soft, I think he would have won by 20 lengths plus.

Winning the Warwick chase at 14-1 “highlighted on here” than the Grand national at 25-1, first tipped on 20th January and numerus times since, puts One For Arthur on top of my current favourite horse list. He’s certainly paid for a nice holiday at some point.
