We have two runners this afternoon, Trigger Nichol at Huntingdon and West Of The Edge in the Borders National at Kelso. It’s all rather deja vous far as West Of The Edge is concerned.

This time last year the meeting was abandoned due to snow. The horse was halfway to Kelso and so we’re his owners. Thankfully there is no danger of snow today, but we could have done with lots of rain. West Of The Edge handles heavy better than most, a real stamina test suits him.

It’s a great race to be involved with and I’m looking forward to ticking Kelso off the list. One of the few racecourses I’ve not visited before.

Trigger Nichol runs in a competitive race for the grade a little closer to home. Trigger Nichol fell at the last hurdle on seasonal debut, he would have been 4^th. There's a lot of in-form horses in this race and it will take a bit of winning.
