Audacious Plan won the Corrie Cup for his owners at Ludlow on Wednesday. This win was his third on the bounce that includes the Durham National. The race was very competitive at Ludlow but Audacious Plan travelled and jumped brilliant. He’s a pleasure to watch whilst jockey Brian Hughes really clicks with him.
Audacious Plan won’t be running now until March. He’ll have a mini break and avoid the nasty ground we see in January and February. His next race will likely be the Challenge Stayers Final at Haydock, he qualified for this when winning at Ludlow.
Plenty of frost and snow around this weekend. We’ve had to cancel the Broughtons Admiral stable morning as Alastair’s Ralphs, the yard is snowed in. A picture is on our twitter page.
On Sunday we might have a runner at Kelso if the meeting gets the go ahead. West Of The Edge will take his chance in the Borders National. We could have done with some rain for WOTE, the ground will be far from ideal but let’s see if the meeting is on first.
I’ve not had chance to look at todays racing, plenty of choice though with excellent cards at Aintree & Sandown.
