Cracking racing this afternoon on the first day of the Newmarket Cesarewitch meeting, there’s also a nice meeting at York.

Starting at Newmarket a horse runs in the 2:40 that I’ve backed on each occasion this year, Belardo is the animal in question that I’ve followed off the proverbial cliff and done my money on.

Trained by Roger Varian I’m sure Belardo is far better than his form but for whatever reason he seems to have lost his mojo in 2015. However I’ll give him one last chance today at an EW price of 7-1, he’ll either win doing handstands or show little again.

She Is No Lady 3:45 Newmarket priced at 20-1 is another horse I’m giving a further chance too.

This young filly looked highly progressive before running at Ascot last month. Jamie Spencer was riding for the first time, he dropped her towards the rear on the back of a very fast pace, despite staying on nicely towards the finish she was set an uphill task.

Harry Bentley is back doing the steering today and he’s won on her before, if She Is No Lady can be ridden a bit handier and remains in contention at the two pole her proven stamina will ensure she finishers the race off strongly. This filly will need another step forward but at the price of 20-1 I’m willing to risk that.

At a shorter prices Minding in the 3:10 should go very well, the form of her previous win was well and truly franked when Ballydole won at the Arc meeting last weekend. Whilst, Carenot 4:25 York looks to have every chance on building on a sound debut 2nd when looking very green.
