Mubtasim looks a horse going placed judging by his win in the Weatherbys Hamilton Stakes. As highlighted on here yesterday, Mubtasim York effort could be ignored as the horse was found to have a problem. With the issue fixed by William Haggas and his team, Mubtasim was very well fancied to show his true colours yesterday and did so in great style. Always travelling well, Mubtasim canted into contention and soon put the race to bed when asked for his effort by Pat Cosgrave.
He’ll now likely head to the Middle Park in a months’ time and will take some beating.
Tricky card at Doncaster today and no real fancies, however I thought Battersea should run his race in the 3:05. The first time hood did the trick in the Ebor and a repeat run should see him go well. The Roger Varian yard are coming back to form after been hit by the Newmarket virus.
