Having runners at Ascot is always a good day out, and even more so when running in a race with £100,000 of prize money up for grabs. We run Cairn Gorm in the red-hot Heritage Handicap at 3:00.

Cairn Gorm hasn’t had his conditions yet, and it’s going to be the same today. The going will be rattling quick. The weather is set fair with no rain forecast, so we’ll make a day of it and enjoy been at Ascot in the sun.

The racing from Newmarket is excellent, I’m very much looking forward to the Group 2, Superlative Stakes at 3:15.

Victory Dance was very impressive on debut and was given as a horse to follow on here before running. He’s held in high regard, I’d be sticking with him this afternoon.

Elsewhere, Korker was very unlucky at Royal Ascot when falling asleep in the stalls. If breaking level, he should run well in the 4:40 at York.

Staying at York, Dancinginthewoods went into most people’s notebooks, including mine last time out when stopped about 3 times. A change of stables has now taken place and with a bit of luck, he’s another that looks to have a good chance on a busy day of racing.
