We have our first runners this evening since the resumption of racing. Both horses run at Wolverhampton, Sampers Seven in the 6:00 and Competition 8:30.
Sampers Seven makes her debut for us after purchasing her privately from Ireland a few months ago. We would have preferred to start on turf, that goes for both horses but you have to run in races you can get in at the moment.
Very much a learning curve this evening, Sampers Seven is a quick mare and goes well enough at home. She’s a big filly that will improve with age, we’re looking forward to learning more about her.
Competition switches to the flat as the handicapper has him where he wants over hurdles. Competition isn’t getting any younger, a few runs on the level seemed the obvious move.
