We were more than happy with Broughtons Admiral 4th placed effort in the jumpers bumper at Kempton on Monday. Broughtons Admiral travelled nicely and just missed out on a place against older horses. Hopefully the Spring weather will show it’s face soon and we can go back over hurdles.

With the Cheltenham Festival nearly upon us, now seems a good time to go through a few selections. I’ve spoken with the VRC trainers and got the lowdown on their Cheltenham runners. This info has been passed onto owners.

I’ve already put on here, Buveur Dair for the Champion Hurdle when he was 6-1. The same goes for Min EW in the Champion Chase. I’d be more than hopeful both bets will bring back a return. Native River for the Gold Cup at 8-1 was also selected a few weeks ago.

I’ll touch on the handicaps on the day of each race, I have some nice bits of info on a couple of horses. The weather looks set for rain every day next week, it could be a soft ground Cheltenham Festival. Do consider this when placing your bets.

I like to do a few accumulators and lucky 15’s during the Festival, I’ve placed the below to decent stakes.

Cross Country                  Josies Orders 6-1

Ballymore Novice           Samcro 8-11

Mares Novice                   Laurina 4-5

Triumph Hurdle              Apples Shakira 11-4

The above pays around 72-1 and looks to have a real chance of a nice return.

Look My Way 20-1 in the Fred Winter is worth an EW bet.

Diese Des Bieffes wherever he runs, likely the Martin Pipe. 12-1

There will be no update tomorrow as we have a stable morning to watch Bishop Of Bling work on the gallops. I'll update daily during the Cheltenham Festival.
