We we're pleased with Kenobe Star at Ludlow on Monday, Kenobe jumped great and set a good pace from the word go, he stayed in front until 4 out until the heavy ground its toll. Kenobe galloped all the way to the line though and finished 4th. He’ll now have a mini break before coming back in the spring on some better ground.
The big race of the day is the re-scheduled Coral Welsh National at 1:45. It’s not a race to go mad in whilst I’ll be surprised if more than 8 horses finish the race.
I’ve had a few pounds EW on Portrait King at 22-1.
This Irish raider is an out and out stayer and looked to be coming back to form at Aintree when staying on nicely before falling. I hope jockey Derek Fox can get the horse jumping well from the off, if he does stamina won’t be a question mark and Portrait King can hopefully run a big race at huge odds.
Staying at Chepstow “3:25” I liked the way Otago Trial won last time out beating two subsequent winners in the process. I don’t think the 8lb rise will stop him and take him to make all at odds of 6-4.
